Originally established as a Sol system base camp, this Hive Cluster in the asteroid belt now serves as a trading outpost for every race that passes through as well as a diplomatic center where anything from peaceful talks to open war on neutral ground is used to resolve conflicts between races. Depending on the day, either the Lord of Blades or Brood Mother Alice runs the Hive Cluster and keeps deaths to a minimum with a little light recruiting on the side.
((Rules: No sex (feel free to (literally) eat a few faces though) Clothes are optional (the Zerg have no need for them much like those poor pets that get dressed for Halloween) Expect the Zerg to get involved in fights that start in random locations within the Hive Cluster
Like Club 47, this thread is semi canon in that events are non canon while personalities and traits are canon))
--------
Relaxing in the Spawning pools, Chris looked up at a prompt from Alice to see a small ovoid shuttle digitize out of existence next to the nearest Greater Spire. As the Data faded, it revealed a young woman who seemed human other than her odd cloak that almost certainly came from the Digital World that the Lord of Blades had only ever heard about. "Welcome to Hive Cluster Mitsuki. I'm the Proprietor, Chris Ham. What can I do for you today and how are you planning to pay? We accept credits or barter in the form of metric tonnes of any non monetary substance," he greets the new arrival.
"Hmm... I could use some combat training, but Ellementiamon is always suggesting I get some real clothes to wear under my cloak. My name is Ellie by the way, and I think I'll listen to the prices before I decide on payment type," the young woman replies as she takes in the exoskeleton that acts as armor on the Lord of Blades.
"It's 5,000 credits or five metric tonnes per hour of training or practice while clothing varies but usually costs around 50 credits or 1/100th of a metric tonne. Personally I'd ditch the cloak while you're here as it will only hinder your movements particularly during any kind of fight Ellie. Besides, the staff here as well as a fair number of the customers don't normally wear clothing anyways," Chris replies as Ellie's cloak slips open to reveal that it is all she is wearing.
"I suppose you're right about the clothing. Back in the Digital World where I grew up, most Digimon only had the appearance of clothing but only if they had a humanoid form. If possible, I'll train against those blade covered dog things and the payment will be in mixed tonnes of water and rock," Ellie says after a moments thought as she slips out of her cloak and grabs her Xross loader in preparation for combat.

A small wraithic ship lurks close to the hive cluster. "Hmm, I don't think I've ever seen anything like this place before." A female robot sits down on the floor next to the control console, smiling up at her mistress. "That's because you don't get out enough." Aquilla narrows her eyes at the bot. "I get out plenty. Lets take a closer look." A zenatrixian lady emerges from the sleeping area. Wrapped in a blanket she yawns dragging the blanket along the floor as she moves towards Aquilla. "Morning my lady." She smiles at her partner before returning her focus to landing the ship on a larger chunk of rock. "Morning Aquilla." Grey wraps her arms and the blanket around Aquilla's waist and gently rests her chin on her partner's right shoulder. "So what's this place?" "I have no idea, I don't recall it being here the last time we came through here, but that was what, oh... erm, half a century ago wasn't it?" "I think it was around that yeah. See what the ship makes of it. If anyone is down there they may contact us while the ship tries to figure it out." "My thoughts exactly." Aquilla looks at the main screen while the ship runs through everything in it's database.

"The zerglings will make fine opponents for a beginner, just to warn you, most of my zerglings can move at cheetah speeds with the stamina of wolves. Let me know when you want to end the fight and you can pay up then. I'll be keeping track of everything happening throughout the Hive Cluster,"Chris replies to Ellie even as he sends a mental signal to a pair of zerglings with metabolic boost to spar with the now nude and seemingly weaponless girl. At the same time, the hive mind notifies the Lord of Blades of a small ship at the edge of the Hive Cluster that seems to be running a few basic scans. Greetings. you can stop with the scans now that you have my attention. This is Hive Cluster Mitsuki, a clothing optional trading outpost and diplomatic center established around ten years ago on a single asteroid and expanding to it's current size of around 200 'Alaska' size asteroids and a handful of smaller asteroids. The mental 'voice' you are hearing belongs to the owner and proprietor, Chris Ham: Lord of Blades. While you are here feel free to do some shopping or train your combat skills at one of our arenas. We accept both credits and barter but please remember no sex is allowed. The Lord of Blades projects to the ship through an Overlord that is in the right area. Meanwhile, Ellie watches as the zerglings rapidly approach and swing their 'wing' claws at her. Despite their high attack speed, she almost manages to dodge the attacks completely with quick side rolls. Bleeding from large scratches on her back and arms, Ellie adjusts her grip on the Xros Loader and uses it as a knuckle duster to punch one of the zerglings as it comes back for a second pass. (( No problems with sexual orientation for me as long as you follow the thread rules ))

((I'm sorry it keeps taking me forever to post, I really don't want this place to go the way of tfurpg I've been putting too much into this to let it fall...))
"Good to know." Aquilla stops the scans as the ship displays its findings on a small screen. Grey responds telepathically to the mental voice. Hi my name is Grey. My partner and I would love to take a look at what you have for sale. Is there some where we can safely leave our ship? Aquilla silently shoots a look to her partner to say please don't spend all of our money... Aquilla quickly checks her bank balance hoping it would halt her plans on spending. With a sigh she flicks the screen back to the info scanned from the area and thinks to herself. I wouldn't mind taking a look at the arena... I'll have to have Void stick with Grey to manage the spending...

Chuckling, Chris projects a mental duplicate of himself into Grey's ship. "No need to limit communication to mental only. For parking, the best choice would be in the center of that cluster of Greater Spires surrounded by mutalisks and guardians. For shopping, the various stalls are scattered throughout the Hive Cluster while the arenas your partner is interested in are just on the opposite side of the Spawning pools where a customer is currently undergoing combat training," the Lord of Blades hallucination replies to Grey while pointing out the front of the ship at the Greater Spire cluster.
Just as his hallucination finishes speaking, Chris sees Ellie start to collapse from the sheer number of injuries she has received from the zerglings. Instead of fainting however, Ellie is engulfed in a flash of golden light and outright counters the next round of attacks from the currently six zerglings. The force of the counter using Gold Digizoid prosthetics sends the zerglings flying back nine feet. "Sigh... I'd hoped to avoid using my inheritance from living in the Digital World during my training," she comments aloud to herself as the Lord of Blades sends a pair of hydralisks to join the training match.

Aquilla jolts as the projection appears in the ship, she mutters something under her breath and in wraithic about people or rather psychics making their appearances so suddenly. She watches for the directions. Grey smiles at Aquilla's complaints and concludes the conversation. "Right, got it, thank you." She politely smiles as the image fades from the ship. Aquilla taps the display of the ship and it starts to map out the area as they fly over to land. A couple of minutes later: "Void, you're going with Grey, keep an eye on the spending... Hmm, it's not super bright around here." Aquilla says making a general observation of their surroundings as they step out of the ship. "I guess that'll be helpful for you in the arena..." Grey grabs Aquilla's arm and looks her in the eyes. "You best be careful in that arena." "Two hundred and twenty five years and nothing's stopped me yet." She leans in and kisses Grey. "We'll meet back here in a couple of hours or so." Grey nods in agreement and immediately sets off for the nearest market stall with Void following close behind. Aquilla flies straight up to look around and figure out where she is in relation to the arenas mentioned.

With the addition of a pair of giant armed serpents, the zerglings become so aggressive that Ellie's counters start to send them flying up into the air instead of flying backwards. Despite the impressive defense provided by her digivolve, Ellie failed to fully heal from her earlier injuries and picks up a few new ones. "Would you consider joining my swarm Ellie? We could use both your tenacity and ability to digivolve as part of an effort to improve the existing swarm members. Even your fighting style which is closer to a brawler than a true fighter could be used to improve our overall combat ability for when fighting is necessary," Chris comments while mentally signaling for a pair of primal ultralisks to join the growing fight. "I'll think about it, but perhaps you should focus on a possible customer," Ellie replies as she tracks a countered zergling through the air and past a faint figure above the combat zone. You must be Grey's partner who wanted to check out the arena. Considering I already set up a fight for one customer outside the arena, you may as well have your own fight where you can keep an eye on the ship you came here on. In fact, if you want, I'll be your opponent or we can discuss which staff members you want to fight. The cost is 5,000 credits or 5 metric tonnes per hour of fighting unless you decide to join my swarm in which case everything here is free even if you join a different Hive Cluster. The Lord of Blades projects into the minds of both the Wraith above and Ellie. Meanwhile at a nearby market stall: "Greetings, what can I interest you in today fine customers? Perhaps a set of chitinous plating armor crafted from ultralisk hide starting at 1,000 credits? Or maybe a set of tri-blade scythes from a hydralisk starting at 200 credits," a primal ultralisk states in a coarse voice as it sees a robot and and unfamiliar alien approach before recognizing both potential customers through the hive mind.

"Haha I guess I was closer than I thought!" Aquilla laughs as the zergling flies past. "I don't mind who I'm up against..." She pauses considering the idea of free training. "I'd need a lot more information on this swarm thing before I can answer that request, even though free training sounds pretty good to me." For the moment she watches the battle below.
At the stall Grey looks at the armour and scythes. "Ouch, those look nasty... Scythes aren't really Aquilla's style, she's more of a sword and gun type. Do you have any firearms or blades?" While Grey talks Void looks around observing several more stalls each with different items for sale, she takes note of a few of them and in particular the ones with expensive looking clothing.

"A live demonstration might work better than a pretty speech. Either way, I've decided I will join the swarm," Ellie comments as she braces against a simultaneous attack from all six zerglings and grooved spines from both hydralisks.
Thanks for volunteering Ellie, I happen to agree that a demonstration is better than a speech. Abyss, watch what happens to Ellie though something tells me she won't be a normal convert. Brood mother Alice, you know what to do, Chris responds while expanding the mental broadcast to the brood mother who had already moved into position. With no further warning, Alice spits a viral sludge at Ellie that wraps her into a cocoon before hardening even as the zerglings and hydralisks back off. About a minute later, the Lord of Blades looks on in mild surprise as the cocoon explodes in a golden glow to reveal Ellie in a slightly more human version of her digivolved state unless you count the lavender colored exoskeletal armor that fades in and out on her arms and legs or the collapsible gold digizoid wings concealed on her back.
"This is certainly amusing. Ellie, Hydralisk, Zergling, Xros." the new swarm member comments before the former combatants are swallowed by a golden light and replaced with a creature that looks like a zerg version of a serpent woman. "So, are you joining as well Abyss?" Ellie asks with a rasping hiss.
Meanwhile at the market stalls, the primal ultralisk that first spoke to Grey and Void thinks for a moment. "For relatively strait edged blades we have zergling 'wing' spikes and hydralisk spines both grooved and non grooved starting at 180 credits while our armor and clothing selection doesn't get much better than our larva hide line starting at 300 credits for boots and gloves up to 1200 credits for robes and dresses," it comments as it notices Void looking around at some f the more expensive products. "The Lord of Blades has already offered membership to the swarm to your friend, but perhaps you'd be interested in joining to get the free merchandise.... not that you'd need separate armor and weapons after joining the swarm. We even just gained a new queen in the Queen of Xros."

"Hmm..." Aquilla starts to privately talk telepathically to Grey. You might want to see this Grey... She allows her partner to watch Ellie's transformation through her eyes... Makes becoming a wraith look pretty good doesn't it? She audibly laughs her echoey voice giving it a very creepy sound. Grey continues to watch the scene through her partner, she only speaks to her once Ellie asks Aquilla if she will be joining the swarm. What are you going to do? Aquilla now has a glint in her glowing eyes and she laughs once again, but this time speaks aloud. "I gave up my weak body of flesh and blood a long time ago. I have no desire to return to such a state." She smiles detecting an increase in the levels of lifeforce present. "I think I'd like to challenge both of you, assuming your training session is over." Her cybernetic circuitry silently powers up in preparation for a high speed dive and attack should her challenge be accepted.
Meanwhile Grey's jaw drops at the situation her partner has gotten herself into. "That crazy wraithic bitch! She'll get herself killed!" Suddenly remembering that she was still supposed to be in conversation with the ultralisk she continues. "Sorry about that, I'm not a warrior and have no intention of ever becoming one so I have no use for armour myself... I think I should go over to the arena in case she needs me." As Grey heads to the ship for her medical gear Void politely bows as she speaks. "Sorry to have wasted your time." She then darts off after Grey.

"No trouble at all," the primal ultralisk rumbles as it watches the two customers leave in the direction of the spawning pools and more distant arenas.
"Your cybernetic circuitry is a potential weakness as it still has physical form," Chris comments to Abyss as he raises a cage of creep over the three combatants and the spawning pools with a snap of his fingers while sending a mental prompt to the Queen of Xros to go all out with her abilities.
"Reload: OmniEllementiamon, OmniSuperStarmon," the Queen of Xros yells as beams of Data shoot out of the Xros Loader concealed in her left hand. When the Data fades, it reveals the summoned digimon in infested forms while mutalisks and brood lords surround the cage to prevent interference in the coming fight. "Queen of Xros, Lord of Blades, Ellementiamon, Starmon: XROS!" Infested Ellie x3 shouts as the named combatants convert to Data and merge into a 30 foot tall monstrosity with zombie moth wings, a 30 ft tail and Gold Digizoid tri blade scythe arms.

Aquilla watches the giant creature form before speaking. "You've got a lot to learn about wraiths mate." Aquilla smiles as she darts forward still in flight covering the great distance between herself and the giant zerg monster in only a second, in the same second she draws her crystaline blade and slashes at the giant.
Outside of the arena Grey watches a cage rise around the combatants, being unable to see a way of getting through she calmly telepathically contacts Aquilla. I can't get to you... I didn't ask you to, I don't know why you're worrying about me this is a training battle, and killing off customers is bad for business especially when they haven't paid yet... Just go back to shopping, please Grey... Grey doesn't move instead she looks through the cage judging the giant zerg creature as an opponent for Aquilla.

While OmniCelestial Wiccamon ZM needs to check the Hive Mind to see what happened, it's partially because the cold blade sparks off of her hardened skin and Gold Digizoid armor. "That may be, but you need to learn more about Zerg and Digimon," the Ultra rank Zerg comments while trying to decide which element to use against this amusing customer. If the customer died from an element that was too effective, the loss in credits would be annoying but somewhat offset by the energy and/or bio-matter that could be collected from the corpse. "Celestial Firestorm," OmniCelestial Wiccamon ZM whispers as the spawning pools and all surrounding creep burst into flames as hot as fresh lava.

"Shit..." Aquilla slightly panicked sheaths the sword and starts rapid firing ice from her arm cannons to extinguish as much of fire as possible. Aquilla is forced back into human form landing on the only successfully frozen patch of ground and starts to consider her options while she tries in vain to extinguish the flames. Right, options, one, I can waste my energy trying to put out these fires of hell, two, I force myself back into wraithic form and continue to fight in the open, I'll be weakened but at least I'd still have my powers and hell if I survive I'd be out cold for a month maybe more, three, I stay human and attempt to fight that way... I'd be more likely to get killed if I do that... Hmm, option four... She smiles insanely. Straining her focus to keep her wraithic form she phases through the floor away from the flames and into the dark stone below. Now let's see what you do about this... Heh if I even survive this I'm probably going to need at least three months to rest, that is if Grey doesn't kill me... She keeps moving below phasing through the ground and trying to lifeforce track the movements of her opponent.
Grey watches from the side feeling the heat of the flames and bashes her fists helplessly against the cage. "Don't you dare kill her!" She yells at the huge zerg. Void watches a thoughtful look on her face. "Grey step back, the stuff the cage is made from, it's the same as the stuff on the ground in there, the stuff that's burning." Grey rests her hands on the cage. "And fires like to spread..." She silently concludes to herself. ...We may have a way in...

Nearly unnoticed by the Zerg and other combatants, a toy sized ship exits from FTL. "Oh great. I just had to show up during a fight," the pilot mutters to himself as he looks out of the cockpit at a sea of flames.
Back off or be ready to pay when the fight ends. The cost is 5,000 credits or 5 metric tonnes of non monetary goods per hour and as a late arrival you can choose to side with the Zerg or the Wraith, OmniCelestial Wiccamon ZM sends when the Hive Mind alerts her to the new arrival as well as the tactic used by the Wraith to escape the flames. After a moment's thought, the Zerg leader uses elemental manipulation to turn the ground beneath the battleground into magma by super heating it even as the cage of creep catches fire and the firestorm starts to spread to the true arena and the (Greater) Spire filled landing zone.
